Metro stations renovation

Metros continue to run with minimal hindrance

The renovation of 16 metro stations of the Oost route (metros 52 and 53) has started. The municipality is renovating the station into spacious and bright stations where travelers will feel safe.

Central Station have now been renovated. At the start of October, work will start at the WaterloopleinHolendrecht, Van der Madeweg and Reigersbos have now been completed, and Gaasperplas is accessible again for passengers. On 22 March, work started at the Spaklerweg. Starting on Monday 10 April, the Bullewijk will be next.

In collaboration with the municipality of Amsterdam, hindrance to travelers is being kept to a minimum. We will work on alternately on either side of the stations so that the metros can continue to run and most stations and platforms will remain accessible.

This does not apply to the Gaasperplas, Venserpolder and Verrijn Stuartweg stations because these only have one entrance. If one of these station has to close, replacement transport will be put into service during the closure period.
