Summary of all changes

There are a lot of changes in the updated public transport network. Routes and route numbers will change, sometimes both. Some numbers will disappear. There will be some new numbers. And, a great many routes are completely unchanged.

This page provides a summary.

Tram
Tram 1 The route between the De Aker and the Leidseplein remains the same. Starting at the Leidseplein, the tram will run via the Weteringschans, Sarphatistraat, and Oosterpark to the Muiderpoort Station.
Tram 3 The route between the Zoutkeetsgracht and Muiderpoort Station remains the same. Starting at the Muiderpoort station, the tram 3 route is extended to reach the Flevopark.
Tram 5 The route between Amstelveen and the Leidseplein remains the same. Starting at the Leidseplein, tram runs via the Marnixstraat and Nassaukade to the Westergasfabriek (this was a part of the old route for tram 10).
Tram 7 The route between Slotermeer and the Weesperplein remains unchanged. Starting at the Weesperplein, tram 7 runs via the Sarphatistraat, Czaar Peterstraat, and Verbindingsdam to the Azartplein (this was a part of the old route for tram 10).
Tram 12 The route from Amstel Station to the De Pijp remains unchanged. Starting at the Pijp, tram 12 runs via the Van Baerlestraat, Museumkwartier, Leidseplein, Leidsestraat, and NZ Voorburgwal to Central Station.
Tram 14 The route from Flevopark to the Rokin remains unchanged. Starting at the Rokin, the tram runs via the Damrak to Central Station. Tram 14 no longer covers the part of the route between Slotermeer and the Rokin.

Bus
Bus 34 The bus is in service starting at the Olof Palmeplein, then via IJdoornlaan (you can transfer here to metro 52 station Noord direction Central Station) and the existing route via the Banne Buiksloot to the Johan van Hasseltweg (you can also transfer here to metro 52 Noorderpark station direction Central Station). Bus 34 no longer runs from the Johan van Hasseltweg to Central Station.
Bus 35 The route between Molenwijk and the Johan van Hasseltweg remains unchanged. In addition, the bus runs via Noorderpark metro station and the Meeuwenlaan, Waddenweg, Purmerweg, and Werengouw to the Olof Palmeplein.
Bus 36 The route between Sloterdijk and Molenwijk remains unchanged. The bus runs via the Appelweg and Pomonastraat (old route 38), Banne Buiksloot, and IJdoornlaan to the Noord metro station. Bus 36 then runs to the Olof Palmeplein.
Bus 37 The route between Amstel Station and the IJdoornlaan remains unchanged. In addition, the bus runs via the IJdoornlaan to the Noord metro station . The bus no longer runs all the way to Molenwijk. This last part of the route is partially taken over by buses 35 and 36. 
Bus 38 The bus 38 route starts at the Noord metro station instead of the Elzenhagen and runs via the Buikslotermeerplein on the existing route to the Klaprozenweg and ends at the new Buiksloterham end point. The bus no longer runs between the Klaprozenweg and Molenwijk. This last part of the route will be partially taken over by buses 35 and 36.

New routes with new numbers

Metro 52 The Noord/Zuid route. This brand new metro route takes 15 minutes to run from Station Noord to Station Zuid via six new metro stations: Noorderpark, Central Station, Rokin, Vijzelgracht, De Pijp, and Europaplein. Go here to read all about the new metro route. 
Tram 11 Tram 11 runs between the Surinameplein via the Leidseplein to Central Station. This is the old route for trams 1 and 5 from Central Station to the Leidseplein. The tram then runs on a part of the old route of tram 1 via the Overtoom to the Surinameplein.
Tram 19 Tram 19 runs between the Sloterdijk via the Leidseplein to Diemen Sniep. This tram is a combination of three parts of old routes: the old route of tram 9 from Diemen to the Alexanderplein, then the old route of tram 10 to the Rozengracht, and then on the old route of tram 12 to Sloterdijk.

Routes and numbers that will be no longer in service

Tram 9 The route between Diemen and the Alexanderplein is taken over by tram 19. You can take tram 14 for the part between the Alexanderplein and Central Station.
Tram 10 Tram 7 takes over the route between the Azartplein and Alexanderplein. Trams 7 and 19 run between the Alexanderplein and Leidseplein. Between the Leidseplein and Westergasfabriek, you can take tram 5.
Tram 16 Tram 24 continues to run on most of the old route. The tram no longer runs on the part: Stadionplein - De Lairessestraat - Museumkwartier to the Ferd. Bolstraat. Connexxion buses are available here. Tram 24 and the new metro 52 runs between the Pijp an Central Station.
Bus 32 Between the Olof Palmeplein and the Johan van Hasseltweg (Noorderpark metro station) you can take bus 35. Then take metro 52 to get to Central Station.
Bus 33 Buses 37 and 38 run via the IJdoornlaan and the Amerbos (both to the Noord metro station). Buses 35 and 38 run via the Waddenweg and the Meeuwenlaan. You can take metro 52 from the Johan Van Hasseltweg (Noorderpark metro station) to get to Central Station.
Bus 269 The route of bus 269 from Station Sloterdijk to the ALO will become part of the time table of bus 69.

Some stops will have a more suitable name. There will also be new bus stops in the Noord area.
