Timetable 2019

On Sunday 9 December, the new timetable goes into effect

Sunday 9 December, the 2019 timetable will go into effect. Most tram, bus, and metro routes will be in service with the same frequency as in the previous period. However, departure times may be different. So, you should check your new departure time and plan your journey in advance in our planner with a travel date from 9 December onward.

There are also some changes. For you convenience, we present an overview of the new public transport fares for 2019 and also a brief outlook on the adjustments to the metro network occurring in March next year.

Changes for buses

Bus 21 in service Monday through Friday, 09:00 to 16:00, every 6 minutes (instead of every 7.5 minutes). The same applies on Saturday, 11:00 to 18:00. This applies to bus 21 as of Monday 7 January.
However, the 'old' interval of 7.5 minutes is still in effect for the temporary timetable that will be in effect until the beginning of April due to the Marnixplein maintenance work.

Buses 30 and 31 will now become Mokumflex dial-a-ride buses. This was the case as a pilot test over the previous year. For more information, go to mokumflex.nl

Bus 44 in service Monday through Friday, 09:00 to 16:00, every 12 minutes (instead of every 10 minutes), and Monday through Friday, after 20:00, every 20 minutes (instead of every 30 minutes).

Bus 47 in service Monday through Friday, 09:00 to 16:00, every 12 minutes (instead of every 10 minutes), and Monday through Friday, after 20:00, every 20 minutes (instead of every 30 minutes).

Bus 66 in service Monday through Friday, after 20:00, every 20 minutes (instead of every 30 minutes).

The De Sav. Lohmanstraat stops in the Aalbersestraat (for buses 21 and 61) henceforth will be called Michel de Klerkhof. This prevents the confusion about the departure stop for bus 21 Geuzenveld, which will continue to be called the De Sav. Lohmanstraat stop.

New timetable, new folders

We are publishing new editions of the free network route map and the free night bus folder.

These will be available as of 3 December at our kiosks, GVB Service & Tickets.

Outlook for the metro network in 2019

In March 2019, we will start work on laying the fast, safe, and reliable tram connection between Station Zuid and Westwijk. Metro 51 will then run more often between the Zuid and Westwijk, but will run from Central Station via Station Zuid and Station Sloterdijk to the Isolatorweg, and vice versa. The Station Zuid - Westwijk route will be taken over by the bus 55 route.

NOTE: in anticipation of the start of the work in March, as of 7 January, the Kronenburg stop for tram 5 and metro 51 will be put out of service in both directions.
