Pre-sales
You will find Add Value Machines in many tobacco specialty shops and other shops in Amsterdam. OV-chipkaart Ticket Vending Machines are located in all metro stations. Find an OV-chipkaart service point in your area on the address finder on OV-chipkaart.nl

Purchases on GVB vehicles
The tram or bus driver or the conductor sell one-hour disposable chipcards and 24-hour chipcards. Tip! Purchase travel products or e-purse balance via the Internet on the web shop or OV-chipkaart.nl or at the machine is not only quicker, but also more economical. For personal service at the GVB Tickets & Info counter, you pay a surcharge of € 0.50 per transaction. This only applies to transactions that you could complete at a machine.
