Section 4 - Fares
Transport is provided on the basis of and pursuant to fares and types of travel passes decreed in or approved by sections 41 and 42 of the Passenger Transport Act.
Free travel is provided for:
A separate seat is required is not required for children under four years of age.
A person at least 12 years old who accompanies a traveler who is in possession of a OV companion card.
One dog who accompanies a handicapped passenger if the dog is identifiable as a guide dog (in training) for the blind or a guide dog (in training) from the Dutch association for guide dogs.
N.B. ! There has been no charge for transporting dogs on GVB Amsterdam since 1 April 2007.
Specific fares may apply depending on certain criteria (age, residence, etc.). The passenger must indicate when purchasing a travel pass what criteria apply to them for a specific fare.
