The City Region of Amsterdam awarded GVB a bonus of more than 1 million euro for our performance in the second half of 2011. This means that GVB received the maximum bonus of 2.5 million euro for the entire year of 2011. GVB is extremely happy that this concession period ended on such a positive note.
Bus, tram and metro scored well on punctuality. The punctuality rose from 88.7% (first half of year 2011) to 90.3% (second half of year 2011). Vehicle breakdowns is virtually unchanged at 1.08% (second half of year 2011), which was 1.07% (first half of year 2011).
The City Region of Amsterdam assesses GVB performance every six months. The outcome can be a bonus or a penalty. GVB also received a bonus for the first half of 2011 for its performance.
